Drug dealers who were involved in the supply of class A drugs in Dundee have been sentenced to a collective 42 years behind bars.
Organised crime and counter terrorism unit officers smashed the gang after a months-long surveillance, which began in October 2012.
The group were involved in a large enterprise, supplying drugs in Dundee and further afield, in Glasgow and Clydebank.
Police recovered 8.5kg of heroin, with a street value of £851,000, and 1.2kg of cocaine, with a street value of £61,500, from the gang.
They also recovered more than £28,000 in cash.
Detective Inspector Scott Thomson said: “This was a complex investigation that required carefully planning and execution in terms of the covert activities we conducted to secure the necessary evidence and make the arrests.
“The team worked long days and nights in order to bring these people to justice and reduce the harm caused to our communities.
“There is no doubt this operation is a major success against disrupting the supplying of cocaine and heroin in Tayside.”
The final four members of the gang, all from Dundee, were sentenced at the High Court in Glasgow on Thursday.
