Dundee United star Gavin Gunning has been offered a three-match ban for allegedly kicking out at Celtic’s Virgil van Dijk. TV pictures appeared to show the the defender swinging his leg at the Dutchman during the weekend’s match at Tannadice. The Irishman must reply to the Scottish FA’s notice of complaint by Wednesday with a hearing due to take place on Thursday.
