The famous performers’ mantra says “The show must go on”, and that was the case when pantomime actors refused to let a fire alarm spoil the fun in Dundee today.
The Gardyne Theatre had to be evacuated midway through the afternoon performance of Sleeping Beauty.
Nevertheless, the performers would not be knocked out of their stride and continued to entertain in the car park to the delight of younger audience members.
Lynn Schreiber captured the moment on video, and said: “Praise due to staff too, who organised swift evacuation.”
The reason for the alarm has not been confirmed but the fire service said it did not need to attend.
No one from the Gardyne Theatre was available to comment.
