Drivers urged a herd of cows to get a moo-ve on after they strayed onto a busy dual carriageway tonight.
The herd escaped from a nearby field and went walkabout on the A92 Dundee to Arbroath Road close to the Balgillo Roundabout shortly after 8.30pm.
Claire Cathro, 18, was driving home to Monifieth when the bovine blockade stopped her in her tracks.
She said: “I could see them in the distance and then they came over onto the road and I had to stop. There was an ambulance behind me and the driver got out and shooed them off the road.
“They were on the road for about five minutes.”
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “The cows are now back in the field and the farmer has been contacted.
“We received a report around 8.30pm. They were moved quicky and the traffic was managing to get past.”
