After weeks of speculation over the future of one of Scotland’s largest equestrian centres, Kingsbarn EC has finally been listed on the open property market.
The move follows the liquidation of the company behind Kingsbarn Equestrian Centre Jakem Ltd, directed by Fife horse owner and trainer Jackie Kemp.
Liquidators Grainger Corporate Rescue last week revealed they had appointed rural property specialists Baird Lumsden to handle the sale of the centre.
The estate agency has now released the property particulars online seeking offers over £650,000.

Baird Lumsden has descibed the equestrian centre, which was originally opened in 2007, as an “excellent equestrian facility”.
The sale includes a 75m x 60m international indoor arena, 75 indoor stables in three detached buildings each measuring 48m x 16m, 89 outdoor timber stables, and an office building with stores and toilets.
The Kingsbarn Equestrian Centre which does not include a house extends to approximately 44.13acres (17.86 hectares).
Baird Lumsden manager Duncan Ferguson, who is handling the sale, told The Courier there has been “significant on-going interest in the centre”.
“The land and buildings at Kingsbarn Equestrian Centre will be sold with vacant possession,” said Mr Ferguson.
“Obviously the property has been purpose built to run as an equestrian business and we would anticipate it will be sold to an equestrian enthusiast to use it as such.”
However, the estate agent said the sale of the property does present a “potential development opportunity”.
Indeed, the property brochure for Kingsbarn EC states: “A planning application was lodged in June 2012 for five residential building plots on an area of land above the paddocks.
“The details of the application can be viewed on the Falkirk Council website and the planning reference number is P/120314/PPP.”
The status of the application is listed as ‘Pending Decision’.
