A Dundee woman has entered the Big Brother house as part of a drastic shake-up.
Samantha Kay, who has previously auditioned for Britain’s Got Talent, the X-Factor and BBC’s The Voice entered the house with three other new housemates, as four residents were evicted.
The part-Sri Lankan singer and entertainer said: “This is basically what I have been leading up to my whole life. I have done so many random things all over this wonderful world and this is my moment to just have a laugh and make everyone else laugh with me.
“I think Big Brother was made for a cheeky wee character like myself!
“I’m not going to be putting on a front or anything, I just genuinely love making people smile. But I will want to put on a bit of a show.”
Sam has been working as a personal trainer in Cardiff and made headlines last year when she was sent an invitation to X-Factor’s boot-camp stage in error.
Meanwhile, theatre company owner Simon Gross returned to the house after becoming the quickest-evicted housemate, lasting no more than an hour in the house at the start of May.
Big Brother host Emma Willis said: “Just when they were adjusting to life in the house, Big Brother has dropped a whopper of a Timebomb. I can’t wait to see how some brand new housemates go down.”
The other new housemates include Marc O’Neill, a 29-year-old Chemistry student by day and ‘Pleasure Boy’ stripper by night and Harry Amelia Martin, a 22-year-old bisexual model who has worked as a dominatrix and a “Babestation” webcam girl.
This year’s competition, being screened on Channel Five, is the 16th Big Brother show.
