Repainted Forfar swimming pool on track to open on schedule

The second major revamp of Forfar swimming pool in less than seven months is on course for completion in early August.

The pool closed its doors on July 12 for a £5000 refit and paint and is on track to re-open around August 9.

It follows a programme of works in January to repaint the pool, lay new tiles around it and do other cosmetic improvements.

However, the original £20,000 revamp sparked a flurry of complaints from customers, many of whom disliked the dark blue colour scheme.

The complaints resulted in the announcement of a second round of “snagging work” in March, costing £5000.
