Fire crews from across Central Scotland spent seven hours tackling a huge blaze at an industrial site in Stirlingshire.
Teams from Alloa and Stirling were among those attending after fire broke out at Leslie Park in Denny in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The situation was described as particularly hazardous as chemicals were stored on the site.
Crews were called out at around 1am and the blaze wasn’t fully extinguished until 8am. Nine appliances from Falkirk, Larbert, Denny, Alloa and Stirling were in attendance at the height of the fire.
A spokeswoman for the fire service said: “Initial crews were faced with a well-developed fire and immediately summoned additional appliances.
“Crews were challenged by additional hazards in the form of chemicals stored and suspected cylinders within the premises. This added to the partial collapse of sections of the roof and walls.”
At one point the fire spread to external storage areas and engulfed stockpiles of used tyres.
The spokeswoman confirmed that the blaze had been extinguished by 8am, but crews remained at the scene to dampen down the site. There were no casualties reported.
