A Lithuanian man living in Angus has admitted drink-driving and driving dangerously through the streets of Forfar and Kirriemuir.
Jurijus Dacko, 48, of Fletcherfield, Kirriemuir, appeared from custody at Arbroath Sheriff Court on Monday, where he accepted the charges relating to an incident on Saturday.
The court heard how Dacko had 130 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of his breath at the time of the incident almost four times the drink drive limit and was driving his car without a valid UK licence.
He admitted driving dangerously by speeding, swerving across the road, repeatedly clipping the kerb, overtaking without signalling appropriately, overtaking stationary vehicles at lights and driving through a red light at a crossing while it was being used by two pedestrians.
Sheriff William Wood disqualified Dacko from driving in the interim and granted a warrant to seize his vehicle. His case was adjourned for the preparation of reports until July 25 and he was released on bail.
