Culinary confusion reigned in Dundee on Sunday night after several tons of vegetables were strewn across the road.
A trailer load of vegetables was shed on Lochee Road shortly before 4pm when a tractor turned over on to the pavement.
Firefighters initially identified the veg as cauliflower but they willhave to brush up on their greens after it was later confirmed the veg was broccoli.
Fire crews were involved because of fears there could have been pedestrians on the pavement at the time.
Three appliances were sent and crew used lifting equipment to raise the trailer but fortunately no one was injured.
A spokesman for the Fire and Rescue Service said: “A tractor and trailer turned over up at the Polepark end of Lochee Road.

“Firefighters were involved in checking for casualties. The driver wasn’t sure if there had been pedestrians on the pavement at the time of the accident so we had to use air bags and equipment to check underneath.”
The tractor and trailer were righted but the road was closed for several hours afterwards while the clean-up operation was carried out.
A fire service spokesman told The Courier “several tons of cauliflower” was spilt.
Police were also on the scene to help with traffic management.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland’s Tayside Division said: “It took a while to clean up.”
