Trained dogs were welcomed into Ninewells Hospital in Dundee as part of Dementia Awareness Week in Tayside.
Information stalls were set up at the hospital and at Perth Royal Infirmary to give patients, carers and visitors the opportunity to find out more about what is available for people in the region.
At Ninewells, two specially-trained assistance dogs from the Dementia Dogs project, a new Forfar-based service being piloted in Tayside, made an appearance.
Specialists from the Dundee Community Mental Health Team for Older People, the Hospital Liaison Psychiatry Team, NHS Tayside Dementia Champions and Nutrition Champions were also on hand to give information and talk about the services they can provide.
There was also a demonstration of Scotland’s first online dementia community forum, BletherBox, which was developed by Leigh-Ann Whyte, a clinical studies officer who is based at Ashludie Day Hospital in Monifieth.
