Walkers from all over the world have arrived for the start of the Angus Glens Walking Festival.
The annual event attracts interest from enthusiasts across the globe and gives visitors an excellent opportunity to see the spectacular scenery that surrounds the routes throughout the county.
The festival, which is organised by Angus Council’s economic development unit, is taking place until Sunday.
There is a range of 27 walks to choose from over the four days, and among those who have already snapped up places are enthusiastic walkers from as far afield as Australia, France, Germany and Canada.
A ceilidh will be held on the Saturday evening at Kirriemuir Town Hall to support and celebrate the event and music will be provided by The Mad Parrot Ceilidh Band.
