LORRAINE KELLY’S lawyers are investigating an advert which suggests that the TV star shed two stones using diet pills.
An image of the celebrity has appeared on Facebook alongside a link to a website selling weight-loss supplements.
The advert reads: “Lose two stone in four weeks? By following these two all natural tips, she lost two stone in four weeks.”
Ms Kelly took to Twitter and described the advert as “very cheeky indeed”.
She later wrote: “This is nothing to do with me. Please ignore lawyers on to it.”
The diet pills are described as a “highly concentrated, 100% pure, Raspberry Ketone fat burning supplement” and two bottles of 30 tablets costs £22.
It claims to “burn more fat and produce weight loss results faster than other leading brands”.
Ms Kelly (53) dropped two dress sizes last year after taking part in a desert trek in Kenya for Comic Relief.
“I don’t weigh myself,” she said afterwards. “But I must have lost over a stone because I’ve gone from a size 14 to a 10.”
The Facebook advert included a web address for London gym Ozone Health and Fitness.
It is understood that Ms Kelly’s staff contacted the exclusive Kings Cross club this week.
Manager Arend Wissing denied he was responsible for the advert and has lodged a complaint with Facebook.
He told The Courier: “It looks like a weight loss advertising webpage and it is in no way linked to ours.
“I’ve submitted a report to Facebook and told them our website address has been used unlawfully because we have had absolutely nothing to with it.”
