Teams from across Tayside are putting the final touches to their preparations for next month’s Alliance Trust Cateran Yomp.
Groups will take part in the 24-hour trek through the Perthshire countryside on June 30/July 1.
The event, which raises funds for ABF The Soldiers Charity and The Princes’ Scottish Youth Business Trust, is expected to attract more than 200 participants who can choose to ”yomp” over three distances 22, 36.5 or 52 miles.
The teams already include three from Blackadders Solicitors, as well as Heavy Hikers and Dub ‘n’ Mire. The Courier is also entering its own team.
Encouraging more teams to sign up, Katherine Garrett-Cox, chief executive of the Alliance Trust, said: ”Last year, we saw different teams of colleagues, friends and families come together to take on the yomp together, and the camaraderie amongst the teams across the weekend was inspiring.
”We hope more teams will sign up this year and help make a difference to two great charities that support people across the country.”Those interested in taking part can register online at soldierscharity.org/yomp.
