Summer is finally arriving in Tayside and Fife this week.
Forecasters are predicting temperatures in the mid to high teens for much of the week, with more hopefully on the way in the coming months.
Although things are sadly predicted to cool down before the weekend, there should be little prospect of rain on the horizon.
Dan Williams from the Met Office said: ”It’s looking pretty dry this week with some days seeing some bright and sunny spells, however there will be some cloud around during the week.
”In the sunshine, temperatures will get up quite quickly and you could see 16C or slightly above on Tuesday or Wednesday, but temperatures will drop off a bit as we head into the weekend.
”From Friday and into the weekend, it looks as if there will be a good deal of sunshine but temperatures will feel a bit cooler than during the week.”
Though the sunshine is likely to bring a smile to many faces, temperatures are unlikely to match those set back in March.
Parts of Tayside and Fife basked in temperatures of up to 22 degrees, the highest of the year by far.
