Timmy Mallett said he can’t wait to paint more images of Tayside after describing the region as ”God’s own country.”
The TV presenter-turned-artist is now back home after spending last weekend here following the opening of his exhibition in Broughty Ferry.
Timmy enjoyed a boat trip with friends and family on the Tay where he collected some great images for his next paintings.
His artwork includes paintings of the Mills Observatory, the Tay Rail Bridge, Broughty Castle, the Bell Rock Lighthouse and the Arbroath cliffs.
The images are among at least 40 originals and limited edition prints featured in an exhibition of his work which runs until June 9 at the Eduardo Alessandro Studios in Broughty Ferry.
Reflecting on his visit, Timmy told The Courier: ”The weekend has been a joy, with a boat trip with friends and family on Taymara, and I have collected some great images for my next paintings.
”This is truly God’s own country in which to paint and be inspired. Utterly brilliant.
”I’ll be back with Mallett’s pallette and the mallet before you can blink.”
