The glorious weather continued unabated over the weekend right across Courier country and even the haar stayed away.
Public spaces from Dunfermline to Dunkeld were filled with sun-worshippers and beaches in Fife, Angus and Dundee were a popular destination.
Barbecues and summer events also tempted thousands out from the shade.
Saturday’s top spot, Kinlochewe in the Highlands, dipped from 27.9C (82.2F) to 25.8C (78.4F) on Sunday. The mercury hit 25C across many parts of Courier country.
In Perthshire, the Blackford Games and Atholl Gathering had their best attendances for years.
Arbroath saw thousands of people gather from the area and beyond for an armed forces parade, capped by the rare and free appearance of a Supermarine Spitfire flying past.
Many apparently had the same idea on Saturday, as Stonehaven saw queues of people during the first day of its open air pool season.
The popular Forfar Marafun on Sunday saw no let-up in the enthusiasm as temperatures continued to soar.
Hot on the heels of the successful Glamis Gathering last weekend, the village was again a hive of activity.
The Glamis, Inverarity and Kinnettles Parish Church May Fayre welcomed families with varying degrees of sunburn to stalls, a large-scale barbecue and the appearance of the late Willie Smith’s vintage steam engine, Oor Wullie.
Camperdown Park in Dundee also proved a big draw as city-dwellers headed for the green, open spaces.
Sadly, all good things must come to an end… cooler weather is headed our way later this week.
