A lorry carrying 20 tonnes of grain flipped on to its roof in an accident in Angus on Wednesday.
A stretch of the A90 outside Forfar was closed for a time as grain covered both lanes. The lorry sustained ”substantial damage.”
The Scania’s male driver was taken to Ninewells Hospital with minor head injuries after the incident just before 7am.
His truck had mounted the embankment next to the road on the southbound carriageway and rolled on to its roof, partially crushing the cab and spilling its cargo across two lanes of the road.
No other vehicles were involved and no other injuries were sustained.
PC Mike Fullerton, of the Forfar road policing unit, said: ”The driver has been very lucky. The impact was on his side of the cab and there’s substantial damage to the lorry.
”He’s been taken to Ninewells as a precaution with cuts and lacerations.”
