Christmas morning break-in is shop’s third raid this month

The RS McColl shop in Arbroath targeted by a Christmas Day thief.
A THIEF showed no festive spirit by breaking in to an Angus shop on Christmas Day.
RS McColls in Arbirlot Road, Arbroath, was entered at around 4.30am on Christmas morning with a number of National Lottery scratchcards and cigarettes stolen.
A police spokesman said it was the third break-in to the shop this month, with previous incidents taking place on December 8 and 15.
He said: “At the time of the break-in, a male was seen in the area. He is described as of stocky build, aged between 20 and 30 years old and wearing a dark beanie hat, dark jacket, blue and white hooded top, navy jeans and black and white trainers and also wearing navy gloves.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Tayside Police on 0300 1112222 or speak with any officer.
People are also asked to contact police if they are offered cigarettes or scratchcards they suspect to be stolen.
