Angus has opted to stay in the union after voting No in the independence referendum by over 10,000 votes. Better Together triumphed in the county, with No securing 45,192 votes against 35,044 for Yes. Blair McDougall, director of the Better Together campaign, said: “We think there will be a clear No vote tonight. “I think the results we have seen now from places like Clackmannanshire – which is an SNP stronghold – are encouraging.” Photo by Angus Pictures
