Police are appealing for information following an assault on Friday in Stonehaven.
A 26-year-old male victim was taken to hospital where he was treated for minor facial injuries.
The suspect is described as being a man in his mid to late twenties, about 6ft, slim to medium build, with short light brown or blond hair.
He was wearing a white t-shirt with a blue logo, dark jeans and white trainers.
The suspect is believed to have made off in the direction of Dunnottar Avenue, following the incident outside the Hook and Eye Public House on Allardice Street.
