Gritter lorry driver dies after his truck overturns on A90 near Forfar

The driver of a gritter lorry has died after a crash on the A90 between Forfar and Brechin.
The accident happened on the southbound carriageway north of Forfar, near the Bogindollo junction, at around 6.30am on Wednesday.
The 29-year-old was thought to be alone in the lorry and no other vehicles were involved.
Southbound commuter traffic was diverted via the village of Aberlemno while the road was closed.
A police statement said: “Police Scotland can confirm that a 29-year-old man has died following a one-vehicle road traffic incident on the A90 southbound near to Brechin this morning.
“Emergency services were called to the area at 6.25am following reports that a lorry had overturned.
“He will not be named until next of kin have been informed and formal identification has taken place.”
The road reopened around 3pm.
Any witness to the accident are asked to phone police on 101.
