Arbroath’s new KFC fast food restaurant has opened after months of delays.
Work on the site was completed in October but the unit at the Westway Retail Park had lain empty since.
Barriers around the outlet have now been removed and large signs have been put up at the roadside, declaring the business is now trading.
The delay seems to have whetted appetites, with queues of cars waiting to enter the car park on Sunday morning.
Construction on the building began in the summer, and a spokeswoman for KFC had previously said the delay was due to “circumstances beyond our control.”
The latest Angus outlet which should create 30 jobs is one of hundreds that the chain plans to open in the UK over the next three to five years.
Last year the company announced it would invest £150 million in the creation of 200 to 300 outlets across the UK, creating around 9000 jobs.
