The funeral of an Angus man killed in a road accident in India will take place later this week.
Former Forfar publican Wally Shuff was fatally injured by a local driver in the west coast resort of Goa earlier this month.
He was just days away from the end of an extended winter break in a community which was a regular holiday destination for himself and long-term partner Janis Ramage.
The body of Mr Shuff, a former engineer who served in the Merchant Navy and then as an offshore installation manager on North Sea drilling platforms, was subject to a post mortem before being flown back to Britain.
His funeral will take place on Friday at 12.15pm in Bain’s Service Rooms, West High Street, Forfar, followed by interment at Dunnichen cemetery on the outskirts of Letham, where the couple moved to last year.
