A 1930s-retro-style Asquith van which was reported missing in Carnoustie has been found.
One of the most distinctive and unusual vehicles in Angus, the van known as Betsy was reportedly stolen from the yard used by Chauffeurs of Carnoustie at the Barry Business Centre some time between 8.15pm on Wednesday and 8.30am on Thursday.
But, as a commenter below reveals, Betsy was later found.
Pauline Martin, who runs the business with her husband Duncan, had said, “Betsy was parked up for the night but when Duncan went out to the yard in the morning she was gone.
“I don’t know what the person who took her thinks they can do with her because she’s very distinctive and rare actually unique with her livery.
“She’s not the sort of vehicle that could be easily disposed of on the open market, so I hope she turns up safe and well.”
