A meeting to discuss a controversial Angus windfarm proposal was postponed because it was too windy.
Representatives from Intelligent Land Investments Renewable Energy (ILI RE) had been due to address Inveresk Community Council in Edzell on Monday night, but were driven back by 80mph gusts.
Staff called ahead to apologise for their absence, deeming it unwise to drive north while gales were lashing much of the country, as the UK was hit by the tail end of Hurricane Katia.
An ILI RE spokeswoman said the party had to postpone the meeting and the presentation was likely to be rescheduled for the first Monday in October.
Inveresk Community Council chairman Duncan Smedley said it was the second call-off.
The plans for a single tower at Balrennie Farm near Edzell are expected to attract controversy at the Inglis Hall meeting.
