ByThe Courier Reporter
Auchterhouse could be said to be punching, or rather shooting, above its weight by having two competitors on Scotland’s Commonwealth Games team.
Drew Christie and Sian Bruce will represent their country in Olympic Skeet (clay shooting).
This is Drew’s second games, having previously shot in Delhi where he came fourth, which he is hoping to improve on this time.
Glasgow will be Sian’s first games, and she is hoping to do well.Drew introduced Sian to Olympic Skeet at Auchterhouse Country Sports where he is head coach.
He saw her potential and initially coached her, but her talent was quickly picked up by the GB Team under whose guidance she has flourished.
Drew is also with the GB Team, and he holds the GB rank of men’s number two while Sian is the woman’s number three. Both are currently training in Spain.
