Picture today of police crime scene tape for file. Tayside Police are appealing for information regarding a suspected stabbing in James Street, Arbroath, on Friday afternoon. A 38-year-old man was taken by ambulance to Ninewells Hospital, Dundee, where he was treated for a stab wound. The injury was not considered to be life threatening and he was expected to be released from hospital over the weekend. Police said there were thought to be five people involved, one of whom had a bike. Officers are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area who may have seen the people involved or witnessed the incident. The alleged victim was seen on a bench in the High Street with blood coming from his lower back at around 3.20pm. Anyone with information is asked to call the police on 0300 111 2222 or speak to any officer.
