A devastated Angus family have spoken of their loss after the sudden death of a young father-to-be just months before the birth of his first child.
Fraser Hutchison was described as “the heart of the family” by his grieving mum, sister and partner following the 25-year-old’s death in a house in Arbroath earlier this week.
As the circumstances surrounding the tragedy remain under investigation,girlfriend Samantha Scott revealed the name the couple had chosen for their daughter, due in late June, and spoke of the carpet-fitter’s excitement over impending fatherhood.
Originally from Oban, Fraser wentto Ladyloan primary and thenArbroath Academy and the town’s High School.
He was a popular and well-known figure in the Angus town, and a talented young footballer growing up, turning out for sides including Arbroath Lads and St Murdoch’s.
Fraser’s mum, Beverley, sister Jolene and partner Samantha spoke to The Courier about their shock at this week’s tragic turn of events.
At a scan in February, Fraser and Samantha found out they were having a little girl and had chosen the namePerrie Alanna Ella Hutchison for her.
“We had names for a boy or a girl, he had a different girl’s name but I got my way,” said Samantha.
“Fraser was just Fraser, he was so bubbly.
“He was totally buzzing for it, he would have been a brilliant dad,” added the 23-year-old.
Sister Jolene said: “Fraser was in a family of women and he was the heart of it he kept us on our toes.
“He was the backbone of this family, the strength for me and my mum for anything we needed and would step up whenever he had to.”
Jolene added: “He was an amazing uncle to my little girl, Alanna, he was like a dad to her.
“She called him ‘Unci’ and he just doted on her.”
