Excitement is mounting as Angus puts its plans in place to welcome the Queen’s Baton Relay on Saturday. As part of the events, Angus Council has put together an end-of-day community celebration at Montrose Sports Centre playing fields. It will get under way at 1pm with an It’s a Commonwealth Knockout event run by the Montrose Emergency Services Group. During the afternoon visitors will also be able to try sports activities, music and dance taster events and a bouncy castle. There will also be events taking place on the main stage from 4pm to 7.30pm.
