A four-figure sum was today seized under the proceeds of crime act following drugs raids in Angus.
Two people have been reported to the procurator fiscal following the police action at Glenogil Drive, Hepburn Crescent and Hill Street in Arbroath.
Sergeant Grace Morrison said the raids were part of Police Scotland’s ongoing operation to “target serious organised crime in Angus.”
The day of action was a result of intelligence gathered over the past few months including information received from the public.
Tuesday’s raids follow action at two addresses in Forfar on Monday as part of the ongoing clampdown on drugs.
Addresses in Glenclova Terrace and Glenmoy Terrace were targeted and a quantity of controlled drugs including herbal cannabis, cannabis resin, and around 1,000 pills were recovered.
Nobody has yet been charged in connection with the find and the potential value of the drugs is still being assessed.
