A railway hut beside the tracks at Easthaven in Angus is up for sale.
Carnoustie man Ian Burns is selling the hut and associated land for £10,000 but with the condition that the hut remains intact.
The hut was used by railway staff who checked the line from Arbroath to Dundee. They would go in to the hut and light a fire to warm up before moving up the tracks to the next hut.
Mr Burns said: “I don’t know how old the hut is but I’ve always liked the look of the building.
“I bought it with the intention of it being a base for my landscaping business, however I failed to get approval from planning officers for my ideas.
“It’s empty other than a little toilet and a working coal fire.
“Part of the house is built from the old railway sleepers. I’m looking to sell to someone who won’t knock the hut down.”
