One of Scotland’s signature classical music showcases is to return after a two-year absence.
The Glamis Prom will return to Glamis Castle, home to the Earl and Countess of Strathmore, after its last outing in 2012.
Glamis Castle pulled the plug on the open-air prom last year after a marked return to form.
Former castle director David Broadfoot made the shock announcement that the double whammy of a tough 2013 and overriding economic uncertainty had led to the cancellation of the August spectacle.
But Glamis Proms Ltd, in association with PDF Productions and Apex Acoustics, promise “a spectacular evening of enchanting music featuring one of the country’s finest orchestras along with some of the music world’s most celebrated performers.”
Producer Peter Ferguson said: “We are delighted to bring this glamorous and exciting event back to Glamis Castle.
“It’s always a wonderful show and there was such an appetite from the public to have it back.
“This year will be bigger and better than ever and we look forward to announcing our show stopping headline artist soon.”
