An Angus artist, intrigued by the way a pub toilet window distorted the view, has showcased a gallery of photographs taken from behind the glass.
Mac Nicoll’s abnormal portraits of 40 people titled Mac’s Photo Freaks have proved a big hit at the Caledonia Hotel in Brechin where the gents’ toilet window inspired his work.
“Intrigued by the way a glass-block window distorted the view, I photographed people’s faces through it and enjoyed the ongoing fun of seeing the weel-kent faces oddly refashioned very abnormal, but still recognisable as themselves,” said Mr Nicoll.
