The children from Southmuir Primary School nursery, Kirriemuir, have lined up their straw-filled creations in an end-of-term scarecrow festival. The event was devised as a celebration of the school’s RBS Grounds for Learning grant, which has funded major improvements to the nursery garden. The array of imagination on display will ensure that the plants are safe from summer visitors. Around 50 pupils attend the nursery every day. They were joined at the fun festival by parents, staff and friends, who entered the spirit of the event by wearing fancy dress.
