A 15-year-old girl who was found dead at her home in Arbroath this morning has been named by police as Lisa Hutton.
An ambulance crew was called to the address in Strathairlie Avenue at 10.45am this morning following a report that the girl had been found unconscious by her parents.
Despite the efforts of paramedics, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are carrying out inquiries and a family liaison officer has been appointed.
Detective Chief Inspector Ali Reid said, “Inquiries are at a very early stage and it is too soon to say what may have been the cause of her death.
“We will await the outcome of medical tests and our own inquiries.”
