The blaze broke out in a cottage in Edzell Wood, and the fire service was alerted around 8am. Four appliances from Stonehaven, Laurencekick, Brechin and Montrose were sent. Firefighters in breathing apparatus used one main jet and one hosereel jet to extinguish the blaze. No one was in the property when firefighters arrived and no one was injured.
