New moves to keep seagulls out of towns in Angus By Graham Brown May 9 2014, 1:43pm May 9 2014, 1:43pm Share New moves to keep seagulls out of towns in Angus Share via Facebook Twitter Linkedin Whatsapp Messenger Email Post link https://www.thecourier.co.uk/news/angus-mearns/134860/new-moves-to-keep-seagulls-out-of-towns-in-angus/ Copy Link A ‘don’t feed the gulls’ plea has gone out in an attempt to discourage colonies in towns. Angus Council offers a free egg retrieval service and has also installed new signs in Arbroath Harbour urging people not to feed the seagulls. Residents are asked to get in touch before the eggs have been laid as treatment cannot be undertaken after they have hatched. Residents who require the removal of eggs and nests, or would like further information about the service, should contact ACCESSLine on 08452 777 778. Commercial premises will still be expected to deal with gull nests as part of their general maintenance programme and meet the cost involved.
