The popular Feis Rois National Ceilidh Orchestra returned to St Cyrus National Nature Reserve.
Visitors took the chance to see the best of Scottish traditional music and dancing for free on the beach in the beautiful surroundings of the nature reserve.
With beautifully crafted songs and driving tune sets, they put on an entertaining performance of both traditional and contemporary folk music.
The orchestra was performing as part of the Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and Moray leg of the National Ceilidh Trail’s five-week tour across Scotland.
After entertaining the public in St Cyrus during Thursday afternoon, the orchestra performed at Stonehaven Town Hall.
The National Ceilidh Trail is a professional development opportunity for outstanding young musicians who are considering a performance career in music.
The young musicians were successful at audition before taking part in an intensive rehearsal week ahead of the Scottish tour.
This year in a new Commonwealth line-up the orchestra also featured musicians from Australia and Canada.
