The Arbroath Sea Safari, which runs boat tours exploring the North Sea coastline, will cease sailing at the end of next month.
For the past three years, thousands of tourists and locals have boarded the Rib Roy to experience the best of the east coast sealife.
Once aboard the custom 10m rigid inflatable boat (RIB), voyagers are taken to explore caves and gorges along the coast as well as to the Bell Rock Lighthouse.
Skipper Andrew Spence, 40, started the business in April 2011 but has now decided to call time in order to spend more time with his family.
He said: “I sacrifice my summer and I have two girls aged two and five years old it’s time-consuming and I’d like to spend more time with them.
“It’s such a busy business and you need to be on the go all the time.”
The Sea Safari launches from up to 15 times every week, skippered by Andrew.
He now hopes someone else might be willing to keep the boat trips running.
The Rib Roy will set sail for the final time on September 30.
