A Carnoustie man has denied a series of charges which alleged he crashed a blue Audi TT car into a wall in the town while exceeding the alcohol limit.
Appearing at Forfar Sheriff Court on Monday, Lee Kenneth Buist, of Kirkton Terrace, denied that on Saturday at Barry Road, in Carnoustie, he drove an Audi TT with excess alcohol (100 mics).
The 27-year-old also denied that he drove without due care or consideration for other people by causing the car to collide with and damage a wall.
He is also accused of not reporting the accident to police and failing to leave his name and address.
Buist further denied that on Saturday at Barry Road, James Street and West Smeaton Street in Carnoustie, he made off from a road traffic accident while under the influence of alcohol before later returning to the scene and attempting to remove an Audi TT car.
The charge alleges this was an attempt to tamper with a crime scene and that when traced by police officers he made off from police while discarding several items, including a set of keys for the vehicle.
He also denied that on Saturday at James Street, Carnoustie, he was in possession of cannabis.
His trial date was set for November 24.
