Barry Buddon half marathon organisers have stamina for more

The Barry Buddon half marathon will be held again next year following the success of the inaugural event.
This year’s race was organised by a group of mature runners from the Dundee area with the field limited to ensure everything went smoothly.
Event spokesman Alan Lawson said: “We’ve had quite a lot of favourable feedback from runners, and the organising committee have already decided to stage the half marathon again in 2015 at around the same date.
“We might take a modest increase in competitors, which we think our workforce of about 30 could cope with.”
Mr Lawson said the only problem with last month’s event was the heat, resulting in slightly disappointing times for some.
The winning man was Scott Martin, of Kilmarnock Harriers, with a time of one hour 16 minutes and 20 seconds, while Jennifer Emsley from Central AC was first female in 1:19.42.
Around 300 runners set off from inside the central compound of the MoD site, with the race passing the shooting areas used in the Commonwealth Games.
