Police have received a number of calls as they try to identify a memory-loss man found wandering the streets of Angus.
Officers are appealing for information after the unidentified man was discovered in Montrose nearly three weeks ago.
A spokeswoman said: “Police Scotland has received a number of calls from the public which has resulted in further lines of enquiry being progressed to establish the man’s identity.
“We would like to thank the public for their great response so far, it has been very positive and we continue to encourage anyone who has information that may assist with enquiries to contact Police Scotland on 101.”
The elderly man, with shoulder-length grey hair and a long beard, who speaks with a West Midlands accent, was found at around 3am on Friday, August 29.
He is currently being cared for in hospital in the Tayside area.
Anyone who may know the man’s identity or have seen him in the area is encouraged to contact Police Scotland on 101.
