Arbroath ASBO woman given six months to prove she can behave

A 50-year-old woman who appeared in court for her third breach of an anti-social behaviour order has been told to behave for six months.
Christina Harvey had been ordered by a court in October 2012 not to bang on floors or walls of her Culloden Crescent home in Arbroath, or create a disturbance in any other property or common close area.
She admitted breaching the order on November 19 last year, and after appearing before Sheriff Pino Di Emidio at Forfar has been given a good behaviour order which will take her into 2015 and beyond a year since the original offence.
Defence solicitor Billy Rennie said Harvey, of Keptie Street, had limited previous convictions, but there were two analogous ASBO breach offences on her record.
“She previously received a Community Payback Order, but there has been a change in her address and her conduct since February,” he said.
Sheriff Di Emidio deferred sentence until January 22 and told Harvey: “It is of considerable importance for you to demonstrate that you can be of good behaviour and that would be more than a year since this matter came to light.”
