South Links Holiday Park in Montrose is seeking permission to open all year round.
The Traill Drive park opens from March 1 to January 31 but licence-holder WOW Leisure Limited wants this changed to 365 days a year.
The matter will be discussed at Angus Council’s civic licensing committee on Thursday.
In his report to councillors, communities director Alan McKeown has recommended the change for approval though he points out that people would not be able to live permanently at the site.
He states: “Committee is specifically asked to note that, although the grant of the variation will mean that the South Links Caravan Park will be permitted to open all year round, residential occupation is prohibited and the park can only be used for holiday static and touring caravans.
“The site has been recently inspected and on the basis that the site meets the requirements of the Caravan Sites and Control of Development Act 1960 and that the necessary planning consents are in place, an amendment to the licence can be approved.”
