Brian McMurchie, 55, of Kenmore Terrace, Dundee, denies five incidences of lewd behaviour, one of which is said to have happened in Carnoustie. He is also accused of targeting one boy on two occasions, more than two years apart. It is alleged that on a date in October 1996 at an address in Dundee he climbed into bed with the then 11-year-old and sexually abused him. McMurchie is alleged to have attacked the boy again in February 1999. He is also accused of abusing a boy of seven or eight years old at an address in Carnoustie in 1997 or 98. He is further charged with abusing a third boy, aged around 10 or 11, in Dundee between June 1996 and June 1998. He is also alleged to have abused a fourth boy, aged 11, at an address in Dundee on a date between April 2005 and April 2006. McMurchie will appear again at Perth Sheriff Court on October 30 in connection with the charges.
