Runners work off some extra pounds in the Forfar Plum Pudding Plod

Angus folk keen to run off the season’s excesses were out in force in Forfar on Boxing Day.
They braved winds and stormy conditions for the 2.75-mile Plum Pudding Plod, organised by Forfar Road Runners.
The run started from the back of the Lochside Leisure Centre, taking an anti-clockwise loop of Forfar Loch.
The race has grown in numbers steadily over the last few years and now has a regular field of around 200, ranging from elite runners to fun runners, walkers and people bored of television and turkey.
Christmas puddings and other prizes were awarded to category winners, fancy dress entrants and to those who looked like they had made an effort.
The main men’s and women’s winners were Tracy Morgan and Robert Harrison (below).
