ByThe Courier Reporter
Police are investigating a report of a suspicious incident in Carnoustie involving a schoolboy.
Officers say they want to trace the three occupants of a blue Vauxhall Corsa that was parked in car park on the south side of Tayside Street, across from the train platform at Station Road on Wednesday afternoon.
The woman driver of the car, thought to be about 18-19, called out to a 13-year-old schoolboy in an apparent attempt to get him to come over to her.
The boy is said to have been concerned by her speaking to him and the comments of two other men in the car and he walked away.
The rear seat passenger is described as being balding or having very short hair.
The teenager told a family member straight away and the police were contacted.
Police say they want to establish the full circumstances of the incident, which happened around 4pm. They are appealing to the occupants of the car to get in touch by calling 101.
Anyone else with information is asked to phone police on 101 or speak to any officer.
