Woman taken to hospital after accident on A90 near Forfar

An elderly woman has been taken to hospital after an accident involving a lorry and car on the A90 this morning.
The accident happened at the Battledykes junction north of Forfar at at 11.20am.
An older woman, thought to have been driving the car, is believed to have suffered non-serious head injuries.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman for Tayside Division said: “We were called to an incident around 11.15am at the Battledykes junction of the A90, involving a blue Scania lorry and a silver Ford Fiesta.
“Officers closed the outside lanes northbound and southbound while they were clearing the debris away.
“Ambulance personnel took away an elderly woman, who had sustained a minor head injury.”
A spokesman for the Scottish Ambulance Service confirmed it attended along with other emergency services.
The accident closed the outside lane in both directions, but the road was cleared again just before 12.45pm.
