Angus music fans were treated to another weekend of fine song and good weather as the third ForfarFest welcomed 80 bands to town.
Started by the Forfar Pubwatch scheme, the weekend has since become a fixture in the county’s live events calendar.
Almost every pub in town welcomed musicians from Friday to Sunday and plans are being laid for an organising committee in a similar vein to Montrose Music Festival from next year, with hopes for an outdoor centrepiece to rival its county neighbour.
Festival co-organiser and proprietor of the Plough Inn Ian Whyte said the weekend is proof of what can be done when businesses work together.
He said: “The feedback has been very positive from participating venues and local business as a whole, attracting people to the town and bringing people out to the town centre.
“Taxis and food premises report Saturday as their busiest day too. There was a happy festival atmosphere throughout the town.
“The young bands event in the Plough was well attended and will be a feature again next year, and venues across the board and bands reported a great day of music (on Sunday).”
